A new house has been built in our neighborhood and yesterday the landscapers showed up with 3 truckloads of flowers, trees and shrubs.
Hot diggety, I wonder if they will be throwing away all those black pots?
I went to investigate.
I asked the man in charge if he was planning on throwing away the pots and if he was, could I please have 6 of the larger ones. His eyes lit up.
“Ya Ya, I bring pots in my truck. You no carry. I bring tomorrow. Ya Ya. Tomorrow I bring you pots.”
I smiled back at him, said thanks, and skipped home with a big fat juicy grin on my face. Wahooo! Free pots! Lucky me!
5 Minutes ago the doorbell rang, I heard a truck pull away and this is what I found.
Apparently “May I have the 6 large black pots” translated to “May I have all your black pots” in Japanese.
Holy Crap.
1. How am I going to hide all these before the Handsome Husband gets home?
2. What on earth am I going to do with all these pots? I only needed 6!
Eeeek!
