The beauty of being a blogger is that I have a platform to share whatever note-worthy topic that pops into my head. Sometimes, the crazy stories I come across on the interweb or the random thoughts that pop into my mind aren’t really noteworthy at all {on their own}. They usually make me pause, laugh, or just plain roll my eyes and I go on about my day. So, without further ado, here are this week’s finds:

Can We Still Say Tough as Nails?
When people think about nails, they think about strength. Tough as nails is a saying I’ve heard a bazillion times. You can smash them with a hammer and they’ll withstand it. Now what if those nails were wooden? Would you still feel like they could so the job of the typical aluminum nail? Well a company out there sure thought so and thus the wooden nail was born! They are supposed to be super strong, but you can’t hit them with a hammer. But they do solve a few issues that aluminum nails cause like making recycling nailed up wood now possible and not causing staining and rust on wood surfaces. Now the big question: would they sell? Would you be apprehensive about buying wooden nails? Would it make you think they were too weak to do the job?
I’ve never been to Japan, but clearly I missed my opportunity to visit at the perfect time: after giving birth. I do remember the icky hospital food. There’s a reason food in US hospitals get such a bad rap. It’s mostly disgusting in my experience. Now granted, I haven’t been to many hospitals as a patient, so perhaps their are exceptions, but I’d bet nothing comes close to the food this woman shares after giving birth in Japan. Evey meal looks like it was prepared by gourmet chefs, and apparently it tasted as amazing as it looked. I mean just look at the one meal pictured above. Here’s what’s on the menu: Roast Beef, Mashed Potatoes, Kabocha, Lotus Root With Gravy, Corn Soup, Rice, Salad, Camembert And Raisins, Tiramisu, Fruit, Orange Juice, and Green Tea. Well now I know that the next time I get sick, the correct place to do it is in Japan!
I Could Watch This Video For Hours
There is just something so soothing about this video. Not only do I want to had right to that store and make one myself, but I love watching the scarves snatch up all that color so perfectly. It’s the coolest thing ever. Any of you tried this before?

Some kids ask for a puppy for Christmas. Other ask for a kitty. Some even ask for hamsters or lizards or gold fish. But Hissing Cockroaches as pets. Gag! Is that really a thing? I guess if you are in the market, you’ll want to take advantage of this sale. You can get 2 hissing cockroaches for $9.95. What a steal at less than $5 a roach.
