I had heard wonderful things about Tatte Bakery and Cafe so while the HH and I were in Boston last month I made sure it was on our walking tour of the downtown area. Have you ever been to Boston? I just LOVE it. The city is so pedestrian friendly and everywhere you turn it seems like there is a famous monument or historic building to discover.
We arrived at Tatte bakery around 11 am and the shop was bustling with mid morning customers.
The pastry case was my favorite {of course} and I had a really hard time deciding what to choose. The HH always goes for something savory, and me? Well I’m there for the sugar rush. 🙂
If I lived around the corner, I’d probably find an excuse to stop by every day for a cuppa or a new pastry. Wait. Actually, I’d probably apply to work part time there so I could try everything. Don’t you think working at a bakery would be the best job ever? Especially around the holidays. Going home at the end of a long day and smelling like a giant muffin would be pretty ideal in my book.
In the end I decided on a goat cheese panna cotta tart with fresh fruit. And let me tell you, it was divine.
And the London fog I ordered? It was the best one I’ve had all year. Seriously, the next time I’m in Boston, I’m going to drag my friend Heather there just for a cuppa. The temperature, portion size, earl grey tea they used and the vanilla syrup was the best on the planet. Soooooo good. And so worth the trip.
Tatte Bakery and Cafe in Boston. If you’re ever in town, be sure and stop by.
