I was searching Amazon last night for a new cookbook when Tea with Bea popped up. As you may know I have a weakness for cookbooks. Not to mention cake, chocolate, candy okay so pretty much any kind of dessert. In fact if Willy Wonka was real, I’d totally want to work at his Chocolate Factory as a quality control expert. White gloves, a golden spoon and a white lab coat. But no hair net. I’d have to convince Willy hair pulled back in a simple black elastic scrunci would be more pleasing to the eye than a hair net when the troves of visitors came through on tours. How to Feed Your Family For $100 a Month
It is only January 16th and I have blown my entire budget for the month. To make things worse, the big Quaker sale is next week and I anticipate stocking up on a 1 year supply of oatmeal. During last years Quaker oatmeal sale I thought I had purchased enough to last us an entire year. But one day Black Fatty was cackling up a storm and to shut her up I tossed a few handfuls of oats to her. She ate her oats and was happy. But everyday afterwords she would come to the window and start-up with her noises again…and so I gave her more oatmeal… and so on and so on and so on. And that is why I ran out of oatmeal about 6 months into my 1 year stash. When the oatmeal was gone she threw a fit. I ignored her {which I should have done in the first place} and after a few days she got over it. Lesson learned. Oatmeal is an occasional treat {for chickens} not a daily meal.
