Ahhh the holidays, the time of year when companies fill our mailboxes with catalogs in hopes we’ll find something unique to give that someone special on our list. Or buy for ourselves.
So far this year I’ve spent way too much time drooling over the Sundance Catalog {I still LOVE this outfit!} and of course, the like 20 L.L.Bean catalogs that have found their way into my box. {Someday I’m going to splurge and order those boots I’ve always wanted!}.
Well yesterday, the catalog from Uncommon Goods arrived. I have never ordered from this catalog and yet, for some strange reason, I’ve been receiving it for like the past 10 years. The catalog DOES have some really unique things. And if I still had younger kids, I might consider ordering the Little Patient doll for my kids {because HELLO, education toys rule!}. Although I’d probably order it off Amazon so I wouldn’t have to pay additional for shipping.
Yada Yada Yada….
Toilet paper as art? I don’t think so {but maybe I’m the only one who thinks that way because there are 122 reviews on this item!}. Seriously. Would you pay $115 of your hard earned money to display 8 rolls of toilet paper? Not big enough you say? No problem. For $140 you can purchase the large model and it will hold 13 rolls.
Now I’ve seen it all.

P.S. Are you getting random catalogs in your mailbox these days too? Seen anything that just made you shake your head? If so, DO TELL!!

The toilet paper holder is $146-$172 in Canadian pricing. Sorry could not even imagine spending that kind of money to display toilet paper as art.

I would probably drop at least 1 roll off of that toilet paper holder into the toilet either when I am loading it or removing a roll. I use 7th generation toilet paper that is tan and I would have a brown cloud on my wall, definitely not as beautiful as a white fluffy cloud. I think I will stick with the drawer in the vanity for my extra rolls of toilet paper.

I think a brown cloud above the toilet would be perfect! I have been dying over your comment thinking of what my 10yr old son would say about a brown cloud.
TJD says
hehehehehe… brown cloud!

My son is a big weather buff. I ordered the toilet paper holder for his bathroom that we’re re-doing. It’s definitely a splurge, but I think he’s going to love it!

I kinda think it looks cute, I can see using it in a kids bathroom maybe? But no way would I spend $120. Pretty sure I could paper mache something way cuter, for a tenth of the price

I loved that TP holder from the first time I saw it! Do I own it? Absolutely not! I would never pay that, but think I might be able to find someone local who can make something similar.

One of the smartest things I ever did was to set up an account with http://www.catalogchoice.org. It’s free and allows me to specify the catalogs I want discontinued and the site takes care of the rest. It’s free.

Better than those freaky toilet paper dress dolls and, although pricy, is actually a good way to get multiple tp rolls into a bathroom so you can use them if you need them
Leslie says
Totally cute. But when I see bathroom “decor” all I can think about is how much fecal bacteria is sitting on there.
Megan says
I love the tp holder. We have a super tiny narrow but long master half bath with ZERO storage. This would solve a storage problem for us. But not at that price.
Tammy says
We got that catalog too, and my 8 year old daughter enjoyed looking through it. I said it had a lot of junk in it and she said, NO! It’s full of awesome stuff! LOL
Karin says
I think that TP holder is really cute! But no, I wouldn’t pay that for it. Now I’m trying to think of a way to make something similar for much less $.
Linda says
Since you made so much more money than you imagined this year from your Etsy account, it seems time for you to spend a tiny bit of it on yourself and buy the boots in the Sundance catalog that you love. Life is short!
Gina Kitchens says
I wouldn’t buy the TP holder. Would I get out the scroll saw and make one? Heck yes!

Clouds? It looks like a pair of glasses with 2 eyes looking at me!!
