I decided on potatoes for dinner tonight, so off I went to my potato patch along the back fence.
I planted Purple Viking potatoes in this particular area.
Not bad considering I only watered this patch twice since April. I’m sure if I had watered the potatoes I would of ended up with 10 times the amount of potatoes, so next year I will be planting potatoes a lot closer to the house.
In the end I harvested about 6lbs, 9 oz of purple vikings today, plus another 2 lbs I dug up a few weeks ago. Luckily I have about 7 more potato patches growing around here {one of the potato patches I’m even watering}. I wonder what the difference in crop size will be.
