When you run out of BBQ sauce and you are only shopping at a store that sells it in bulk, what do you do? You make your own! We made this BBQ sauce recipe the other night and it was delish! Really easy, too. You can serve it over chicken, pork or beef. It’s freakin’ awesome.
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1 1/2 cups ketchup
1/2 cup red wine vinegar
1/2 cup water
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 1/2 tablespoons dry mustard
2 teaspoons paprika
2 teaspoons salt
1 1/2 teaspoons black pepper
2 dashes hot pepper sauce
In a blender {I use my Blendtec}, combine first 5 ingredients. Add remaining ingredients and then blend until smooth. Enjoy!

Leave it to you, Mavis! I was just shopping for BBQ sauce without high fructose corn syrup and couldn’t find it. I thought “There’s got to be a way I can make it myself!” Thanks!!

I have been looking for a recipe for BBQ sauce, now how do I make it without the brown sugar???? Any suggestions? Would like to use stevia, I’m on a low carb diet.

Tracy: if you search for substituting stevia for brown sugar, there’s probably a ratio out there on the internet for it.

How long is the shelf life for this bbq sauce? I want to make a large batch to have on hand.
Love all your ideas, thank you.
