The beauty of being a blogger is that I have a platform to share whatever note-worthy topic that pops into my head. Sometimes, the crazy stories I come across on the interweb or the random thoughts that pop into my mind aren’t really noteworthy at all {on their own}. They usually make me pause, laugh, or just plain roll my eyes and I go on about my day. So, without further ado, here’s this weeks edition of Random Goodness from Around the Web:
Move over Zumba and Soul Cycle. There’s a new fitness craze in town. Goat yoga. As in, down dog with a goat on your back, or walking under you, or stomping on your hands. Goat yoga is a craze sweeping the nation and selling out classes all across the country! Apparently the trade off for a little goat potentially munching on your tank top while in child’s pose is that goats come with true therapeutic benefits. They are said to have a calming effect and relieve stress. Not sure I’m buying it. Anyone try it yet?
I Want to Be Verd When I Grow Up
Verdun Hayes went skydiving for his 100th birthday last year and then again for birthday 101. Verdun, as WWII vet, is the Guinness World Records’ oldest ever skydiver. He certainly knows how to keep life exciting. I’m no scientist, but I suspect that continuing to have adventures keeps you young and will ultimately help you live longer. So while you might not catch me jumping out of a plane anytime soon, I am all about taking adventures until I’m old and gray. What about you? Would you jump out of a plane for your 100th birthday?
The Untold Truth of Aldi
Hello! I’ve been reading your blog for years and look forward to it each day! I just saw this video about Aldi and thought it was interesting and that you might enjoy it, if you haven’t already seen it. ~Kate
I too thought it was interesting. Hope you do, too!
Lucy Needs This For Halloween
Sometimes I think I’ve seen everything, and then I realize that in addition to all sorts of dog-sized sweaters, headbands, slippers and even tutus, they are sell little dog wigs. Little wigs you can put on your dog to dress them up. Now that you’ve seen them {and have seen how cheap they are}, are you thinking what I’m thinking? Lucy needs one pronto {and so does your dog}. Perfect photo op!
And that concludes this installment of Random Goodness from Around the Web. Please make sure to leave your random responses in the comment section.

Goats are adorable and would definitely make me laugh/relax, but they pee willy-nilly and I’m not willing to be in the vicinity when that happens!
Kristina says
Goats are adorable and absolutely packed with personality, but there’s a reason “smells like a goat” is an expression. Peee-yew.

We went on a farm tour in our area last spring. One of the farms offers “Goat Yoga” . I took a brochure. I haven’t gone to a class yet. I was waiting for a family get together. They offer private classes if you have a group. The farm was Franny’s farm near Asheville, NC. I think the farm is actually in Marshall, NC.
Paula says
Sorry, It’s Leicester, NC for Franny’s farm. You can also get married there.

Mavis,
the Original Goat Yoga is down the road from me in Albany Oregon. I haven’t done the yoga itself but did join them for “Goat Happy Hour”. You get to play and pet the goats (who love to interact with people) and you get to drink wine!!! Win-win. They are so cute, but soothing to be around too. It has become very popular and the woman who started it, Laney Morris , has great story to tell about how and why she started it. She has pictures!!!
Julia says
Also rabbit yoga is a thing too.
Shari Harniss says
Goat, rabbit, any kind of animal, yoga…
Please, people. I’m begging you…get a grip.
