The beauty of being a blogger is that I have a platform to share whatever noteworthy topic that pops into my head. Sometimes, the crazy stories I come across on the inter-web or the random thoughts that pop into my mind aren’t really noteworthy at all {on their own}. They usually make me pause, laugh, or just plain roll my eyes and I go on about my day.
So, without further ado, here’s this weeks edition of Random Goodness from Around the Web
Nothing Better Than Grandma’s Cooking {Except a Bunch of Grandmas Cooking!}
Few things can top a home cooked meal made by your grandmother! A restaurant owner felt the same way, so instead of traditional chefs, she employs only grandmas in the kitchen. It’s an Italian restaurant called, Enoteca Maria in Staten Island. She started out just hiring Italian grandmas, but had now branched out and has 30 grandmas from around the world—places like Argentina, Algeria, Syria, the Dominican Republic, Poland, Liberia, and Nigeria. Every night there is one Italian grandma in the kitchen, joined by another nonna with a different culinary tradition. It’s such a cute concept that is just went on my travel bucket list!
I’ll Take a Spot of Tea Spray?
I thought this was a joke. NO WAY this could be a real product. But it’s real. And it is so gag worthy! Aerosol tea. Like Cheese-Whiz for tea drinkers. You’ve gone too far inventors!! Half the fun for me is soaking my tea bags and then SIPPING tea. It’s therapeutic somehow. Now you just discharge the aerosol concentrate into your favorite container, add hot water, and you’ve got a cup of tea without waiting for a teabag to steep. Or, they suggest you could avoid the dishes altogether and just spray the concentrate directly into your mouth. Seriously? What is the world coming to?
Best. Commercial. Ever.
I know it’s a commercial but I can’t stop loving everything about it. Almost convinced me to go buy a Coke {almost}. It certainly got me laughing. I would have loved to been riding and hear him in person!
Did you know they sell cheese balls by the barrel. An actual massive barrel of gross, processed fake cheesiness that Monkey Boy would LOVE!! I might even consider gifting it to him for Christmas, but this Utz Cheese Balls Barrel won’t fit under the tree! What a shame!
And that concludes this installment of Random Goodness from Around the Web. Please make sure to leave your random responses in the comment section.

One of my local non-chain grocery stores carries the cheese ball barrels in purple for Halloween. My grandsons are convinced that the actual cheese balls are purple – not the container. And they’re a bit miffed that Grammy won’t buy them so that they can prove me wrong. LOL!

Ah, yes…the Cheese Ball Barrel, we know it well. We have been known to give it as a birthday gift to one of our sons. It also makes an awesome “Under $10” grab bag gift for teens. Similarly, my son wrapped up a Costco giant box of Jello Chocolate Pudding cups (and box of plastic spoons) for a Christmas gift exchange in his Scout troop. Boys were begging to trade for it. Boys can be so funny.

Ha, I joked that we were relieved to move from our old house because it was in a very dangerous neighborhood … meaning, the guy across the street was an Utz delivery guy. He must have been an independent contractor or something because he kept his truck parked in front of his house, and the neighborhood kids would lurk when he got home, hoping to score some free chips. He was a super nice guy, and we did end up with the barrel o’ cheese balls one time.

If your Monkey boy is anything like mine is, that cheese barrel will be gone in 2 hours! Ahahaha! 😉

So once I took my daughter to a coffee shop to provide a change of scenery for her to do her schoolwork. There was a guy a table over with earbuds in, laughing at a video or something he was watching on his laptop. So incredibly annoying! It didn’t make me laugh. And no one gave me Coke either for enduring his laughing either. 😉
