The beauty of being a blogger is that I have a platform to share whatever noteworthy topic that pops into my head. Sometimes, the crazy stories I come across on the inter-web or the random thoughts that pop into my mind aren’t really noteworthy at all {on their own}. They usually make me pause, laugh, or just plain roll my eyes and I go on about my day.
So, without further ado, here’s this weeks edition of Random Goodness from Around the Web:
The Cutest Squirrel You Ever Did See
Now I’m not sure what the HH would do if I happened upon an injured baby squirrel and wanted to take it to the vet but if it looks this adorable, I might be able to convince him! This little squirrel fell out of a tree in a windstorm and broke its leg. A sweet woman found the injured animal and took it in to get the tiniest cast on its leg. I know the poor thing is hurt, but how adorable is that?
A Liberian Scam That’ll Make You Smile
Raise your hand if you’ve ever received a message from a scammer telling you that you inherited a large sum of cash but in order to get it you must first wire the taxes or some other such nonsense. If I had a dollar for every email like that I’ve received, I’d be rich! But a guy in Utah decided to handle the situation a little bit differently. I’m not sure what I would have done in his situation (probably just deleted the email like normal) but it certainly wasn’t what he did, which was to engage the email author. What resulted was truly heartwarming!
The Braidy Bunch
After a young rider on her bus lost her mom to cancer, one bus driver stepped up to do the job most moms are tasked with: doing hair. It’s another heartwarming story that you might need a few tissues for!
And This Little Piggy Went Splat
I’m always so curious where the vision for a product begins. I mean who would just randomly be like, “You know, Carl, I think a melted little piggy face would we a great idea for a cooking steamer!” And then the decision makers above him agreed and so the Marna Pink Piggy Steamer was made and is now sold all over the internet. Weird.
And that concludes this installment of Random Goodness from Around the Web. Please make sure to leave your random responses in the comment section.

That was a great story about Liberia. I thought it was going to sound a lot like this one: https://www.ted.com/talks/james_veitch_this_is_what_happens_when_you_reply_to_spam_email
Regarding the lawnmower purchase, have you tried consumer reports? when i bought my whole house generator, I looked up the highest rated one in CR, then cross checked it with all of the negative reviews on Amazon (cuz real ones can be faked) and that’s how I made a buying decision. Knew what I was getting into, but also had approval and testing behind the decision. I’m not into maintaining engines so I have a push mower. The generator is the only engine that I maintain myself – oil change, spark plugs and filter twice a year to keep that baby humming.

My two crazy corgis cornered a baby squirrel this week. I carefully picked it up and placed it in a box- then headed to google to figure out what to do. From rescue organizations advice- if the baby is 6″ or more and has fur- place it back by the area where it came. I did place it by the tree where most of our squirrel families live, and it instead scurried under the fence to the next door house. My dogs spent two days staring at one spot in the fence. We went next door and couldn’t find it. Next day here comes the baby in the yard on the ground again. Dogs cornered it again and we held them back u til it ran away-again. We finally saw it today running up the big tree behind our house! Yea! It lives!! I kinda wanted to have a pet squirrel but Mother Nature stepped again.

Great post, sweet clip about the girls getting their hair braided. I love the pig! In fact I love it so much I’ve ordered one for my daughter who loves all quirky things and the pig plate cover for the microwave. So excited!
