The beauty of being a blogger is that I have a platform to share whatever noteworthy topic that pops into my head. Sometimes, the crazy stories I come across on the inter-web or the random thoughts that pop into my mind aren’t really noteworthy at all {on their own}. They usually make me pause, laugh, or just plain roll my eyes and I go on about my day.
So, without further ado, here’s this weeks edition of Random Goodness from Around the Web:
A Domino Effect Like You’ve Never Seen
First, I want to work at this place {Aaron’s} with a boss who thinks that trying to set a Guinness world record for the largest human mattress domino chain is a great way to spend your time. Seriously. How fun would that place be?! Second, this is really just the coolest thing. 1,200 domino mattresses! The successful attempt was aided by a dominoes expert and certified by a Guinness World Record adjudicator. The previous record had been 1,150.
Aaron’s CEO John Robinson pushed over the first mattress and it took 13 minutes and 38 seconds for the final mattress to fall. I so wish I could have seen that. Want to know what else is awesome about this? The company will be donating all 1,200 mattresses to organizations focused on ending poverty and providing shelter to homeless families. Pretty awesome!
I’m Seeing Double, Wait Triple, Wait…
Remember how “the dress” broke the internet? Well this isn’t inciting quite the furry that did, but it’s getting there. The internet is losing its mind over how many girls are in this picture. 2 girls? 2 sets of twins? Lots of mirrors? What do you think?
Wow. This is the coolest thing I have seen in forever. Technology is so freakin awesome. Watch the video and try telling me you don’t want to at least test one out, much less own your one. This pen is so rad!!
The Mask That Will Give Sweet Lucy Nightmares for Life
A few weeks ago I posted about a creepy horse head masks and a reader pipped up that they also had pug masks. Seriously. It’s a real thing. I’m trying to figure out what posses people to buy these things, until I realized that if I wasn’t do a no spending month/year, I’d probably buy one, too. Because it’s a freakin pug mask people!
And that concludes this installment of Random Goodness from Around the Web. Please make sure to leave your random responses in the comment section.

My random goodness was finding the pin for the worst chocolate chip cookie recipe ever. Thin, chewy chocolate chip cookies that mix together with a spoon. I needed a little pick me up for the end of the week, so glad I found that recipe. Going to try the frosted brownies you posted this weekend.

That mattress video is awesome. Add the fact that they donated all of the mattresses is even better. What a fun idea and a great contribution to those in need. Love it.

Heh, I used to do all sorts of weird infinity mirror tricks in the fitting rooms. It’s 1 tall girl and 1 short girl, there are two mirrors. Each girl is looking away from the other, respectively looking into her own mirror. The mirrors are reflecting each other, giving that infinity mirror look. It is a wonderful camera angle though. Part of what makes this work is that the shorter girl is a little bit closer to her mirror, whereas the taller girl is a little bit farther away. That causes a visual disconnect seeing the larger space reflected, which tricks the brain a bit, because it’s enough randomness to fool the brain into thinking there are four people instead of two. For a quick short-cut, you can tell there are only two girls, as each pair is contained within the black boundaries. The boundaries are the visible edges of the mirror frames.
