The beauty of being a blogger is that I have a platform to share whatever noteworthy topic that pops into my head. Sometimes, the crazy stories I come across on the inter-web or the random thoughts that pop into my mind aren’t really noteworthy at all {on their own}. They usually make me pause, laugh, or just plain roll my eyes and I go on about my day.
So, without further ado, here’s this weeks edition of Random Goodness from Around the Web:
The Most Impressive Birthday Card Ever!
A Hallmark card purchased in 1970 for 25 cents, has been sent 96 times! Seriously! Bill and Steve, have been on top of their card-sending game for nearly half a century. These relatives are awesome and I want to be their friend. Now my only question is what will they do when they run out of room to sign it? Does the back have any free real estate? And who started it. This is so fun. Now I want to start one!
Changes the Meaning of Business Casual
First it was the stand up desk. Then it was the treadmill desk. Now we’ve moved onto a swim desk. We’ve collectively lost our minds.
UPDATE: Apparently it was an April Fool’s joke and a few thousand people bought into it. How long do you think we have to wait before it actually becomes a thing. Ha!
A House For the Price of a Car
This is the first residential house 3D-printed onsite with a mobile printer and a construction company printed it, an entire house, in 24 hours and it only cost $10,000. You read that right. $10k. This is AMAZING!! I’m blown away that a house was PRINTED. 3D printers are crazy awesome!
Do You Sprinkle It on Your PB&J?
Okay, let’s talk powdered peanut butter. Who uses it? What do you do with it? Should I be buying this stuff? This Bell Plantation PB2 Powdered Peanut Butter and PB2 with Premium Chocolate looks delicious, but I’m not sure what to do with it? Talk to me all you powdered PB experts…
And that concludes this installment of Random Goodness from Around the Web. Please make sure to leave your random responses in the comment section.

Those PB powders are awesome in smoothies or milk shakes.
Samantha VanArnhem says
I don’t consider myself a powdered peanut butter expert but I use it in smoothies, to replace some peanut butter called for in baking recipes and (my favorite) mix it up a little thinner than normal and use it as an apple dip.

I bought the pb powder for smoothies and I think it’s awful! Give me my creamy pb anyday.
Tisha says
I would add the powdered peanut butter to a granola recipe or energy bar.
Andrea says
The PB powder is a by-product of pressing the peanut to extract peanut oil. It used to be used primarily as livestock feed, until now.

My husband’s work has a pool that size they use for therapy. It has a treadmill on the bottom and it raises up to the the top and you step on, it goes down and has a current for you to walk against. I thought it was pretty neat.
Anna says
I love it in my oatmeal, gives it a little protein boost, without the fat, 2 TBs for 50 calories. Also enjoyable in smoothies with bananas. Yum!

I’ve always wanted to try the powdered peanut butter but I looked at it once and saw they added sugar. Since I’m trying to cut back on sugar and eat more healthy foods, I passed. It was a disappointment because it seemed like such a convenient item to have on hand.
Carla says
Agree about the sugar. I too was disappointed by that!

I actually like the powdered JIF better than PB2.. I put into smoothies, milk shakes or use it to make PB frosting for chocolate cakes/cupcakes! YUM!

My sister and I have been sending the same birthday card back and forth for over 25 years. We don’t mark it out, we just sign it and date. I would take a picture and send it, but my sister has the card. I only need to keep it for about a month. But, my sister has to keep up with with for the remainder 11 months. I orginally sent her the card. It is a Peanuts card featuring “Lucy”. On the front it says, “To a sister that is smart, funny, and good looking”
On the inside it says, “you can send it back to me next year.” And, she did. And so it started. The biggest task is finding an envelope each year.
Tamara says
That is so neat! What a great thing to do with your sis; I miss mine terribly.
Tracy T says
Oh my goodness Mavis; please try it on oatmeal, smoothies, cookies, as a topping for desserts, you can make your peanut dipping sauce from it. So easy, so good!

My parents are hard to buy for but love their sweets! One year, about 10 years ago, I cut out all the “months” from an old calendar and pasted them on the inside of a Christmas card. My gift to them was my “homemade baking of the month club”. Each month they get some form of baking from me and they tell everyone how much they enjoy it. They loved the idea so much that in January my mom gave me back the card “just in case” I wanted to do it again. The envelope and card are getting more than a bit worn after 10 years but have become a Christmas tradition.
Tamara says
Another great idea! Somehow I am going to adapt that for my grandsons.

I use powdered pb in my breakfast cookie recipe. First saw it at WinCo in the bulk section. It is a bit pricey, but buying bulk leaves you the option to only buy a little to try it. Love WinCo foods, for their prices, their service with a smile, the bulk section is the best and the vast variety of groceries in general. Made breakfast burritos a couple days ago and they were a big hit with Mr. Man,, and my daughter too. Where can I find was paper bags?
Sharon@MLT says
Amazon has wax paper bags. Hard to find in regular grocery stores but I suspect places like Whole Foods would have them too.

I just love powdered peanut butter in smoothies as in some Thai recpies. I continue to find things to use it for. One of the other comments mentioned fruit dip. Yum.
