The beauty of being a blogger is that I have a platform to share whatever noteworthy topic that pops into my head. Sometimes, the crazy stories I come across on the inter-web or the random thoughts that pop into my mind aren’t really noteworthy at all {on their own}. They usually make me pause, laugh, or just plain roll my eyes and I go on about my day.
Look Both Ways AND Play a Little Pong Before You Cross
Two brilliant design students from Germany created a way to make that trip across the street a little more lively! They invented a crosswalk button that allows strangers waiting on either side of the crosswalk to play a game of pong against one another. And now I want to travel to Germany just so I can play a game of pong while waiting for the light to change! How cool is that?
I’m officially blown away. And in awe at the talent of some people! And just look at that progress in only 10 years. WOW! There is this “Draw This Again!” meme challenge that invites artists to re-draw their old artwork and present them side-by-side for comparison, showcasing their dramatic progress. All I can say is, go take a look now. You’ll just stare at how awesome some of them are!
Quack, Quack Said the Dog?!
Ummm. Why are these a thing? Are they for a quick nail cutting or keeping your dog from licking an injury or something. They are hilarious and I can’t stop watching because they make those little dog ducks so adorable, but they just seem ineffective as a mussel and just plain mean if they are a costume-type thing. Thoughts?
Pucker Up for Pickle Popsicles
Nothing says refreshing summer treat quite like a pickle! Wait, WHAT?! Yep. Pickle Popsicles are real {see Real Van Holten’s Pickle Brine Pickle-Ice for proof!}, and not too expensive either. I’m not brave enough to try one, but if you have pregnancy cravings or are pickle obsessed, give them a try and let us know what you think. I guess pickle-ice “aids in keeping your body hydrated, balanced, and performing at peak levels” because it’s packed with electrolytes! Who knew?!

Swim team moms (and coaches) know about pickle juice! I’d always keep a bottle of pickle juice in the concession stand at my son’s swim meets. It helps with muscle cramps without all the unnecessary sugar that’s in Gatorade.

Pickle juice (because of the vinegar) is also really good for heartburn.

I saw Manchester by the Sea at the theatre. My husband and I went, clueless as to what it was about. To say it is heavy is an understatement. It is the most depressing movie I’ve seen, and with nothing at the end to redeem the endless, overpowering depression. NOT one I could handle again.
