The beauty of being a blogger is that I have a platform to share whatever noteworthy topic that pops into my head. Sometimes, the crazy stories I come across on the inter-web or the random thoughts that pop into my mind aren’t really noteworthy at all {on their own}. They usually make me pause, laugh, or just plain roll my eyes and I go on about my day.
So, without further ado, here’s this weeks edition of Random Goodness from Around the Web:
If I lived in Boston, I’d be praying for rain right about now just so I could see the coolest art project I’ve ever heard of: Secret Sidewalk Poems. The city and a non-profit organization called Mass Poetry teamed up to fill the sidewalks with hidden poems. The lines are painted with a special waterproof paint that only appears when wet. It’s biodegradable and comes off after a few months. The collaboration is called “Raining Poetry” and began in April for National Poetry Month. The poems are from various sources that all have ties to Boston. How awesome is that? Gives me one more reason to go back to that city I love!
Well That’s One Way to Dye a Dress
Okay, this is pretty phenomenal! That dress above used to be black! Pretty dramatic transformation after the dress was submerged in the Dead Sea. Israeli artist Sigalit Landau placed the early twentieth-century-style black gown in the waters of the Dead Sea for two months in 2014. Photographer Yotam From recorded the stunning underwater changes that occurred as salt crystals gradually adhered to the fabric. The Dead Sea is basically a massive salt lake and is nearly 10 times as salty as the ocean. That I knew, I just didn’t realize what that could do to a dress. So cool!
Jurassic Park Gone Wild
I have so many questions about this video and I’m fairly certain I’ll never have answers. First, what on earth? Second, where’d he get the costume. Third, was this planned in advance or did some guy just happen to remember he had a dino costume in his trunk when he went to go play a weird version of polo. Weirdest thing I’ve seen in awhile.
If You’re Drowning in Canning Jars
These Original Cuppow Wide with Straw-Tek pretty much turn your canning jars into an adult sippy cup. And they’re awesome! So if you’re in the height of canning season, get your hands on some. I super love them!
And that concludes this installment of Random Goodness from Around the Web. Please make sure to leave your random responses in the comment section.

The dinosaur is probably part of the t-Rex Tuesdays on facebook. They do a video each week, and there are actually a couple of folks with costumes!

that sidewalk poetry probably wouldn’t do well in the PNW! Gone in two days!!!
