How do you cook bacon? My favorite method is to bake it in the oven at 375 degrees until nearly crisp.
The Girl Who Thinks She’s A Bird, Little Miss Smarty Pants and The Mathematician roasted marshmallows in the fireplace last weekend. Then they stayed up late and watched the Goonies.
Remember those $.14 cent cinnamon rolls I picked up last week with my Albertsons double coupons? They were delish.
Monkey Boy took this photo at one of The Girl Who Thinks She A Bird’s races. The poor kid fell asleep and his teammates covered him in bits of grass. It was hilarious.
I flew to Boise the other day to talk about coupons. This is where I parked.
When I got home I drained my old ketchup into the new ketchup bottle. Do you do this? If the HH finds out I’m telling you about this he is going to freak out. He thinks I’m just being cheap when I do stuff like this. I try to point out that I PAID for the ketchup and therefore throwing away a ketchup bottle with ketchup still in it is like throwing away money. Then he goes and says something like “Did you really PAY FOR IT… Or did you get it for free?”
Who cares… it’s still ketchup! Just because I scored free ketchup doesn’t mean I should THROW.IT.AWAY!
My husband is weird.

Thank you! I am glad I am not the only person who does this or uses a spatula to the very last bit of peanut butter out of the jar or who willing takes the free cases of toothpaste samples which were destined for the land fill (nothing wrong with them just they had too many…). Do you also add just a bit of water to get the last of the detergent out?
Have a great day!

Ha! Yes, I add a little water to get the last bit of detergent out. 🙂 Lol

that’s how we love our bacon too…And OF COURSE that’s what we do to the ketchup!! (and peanut butter!)
mavis says
Yay! I love baked bacon.

I totally do the same thing with my ketchup…why waste it?!
mavis says
Woo Hoo! We all agree! Well, except the HH. 🙂

Those last two pictures, ha! Did you mean to put them one right after the other? Am I the only one with my mind in the gutter?
mavis says
JJ… I don’t even know how to respond to that. So I won’t. 😉

About the ketcup?

Same ketchup draining going on here too. I also do it with honey and we buy that by the 5 gallon bucket. I prop that big ol’ bucket up and drain the remaining honey out into a quart jar.
mavis says
A 5 gallon bucket of honey! Wowza! I hope you got a sweet deal on it.

Flew to Boise? Spoke at a CCI conference, or what?

I think I said too much. It was a top secret mission. I cannot go into details. You’ll have to wait until the “Tell All” book comes out and pay full price for that kind of information.

At least let us know when you do a TED.com.
