Black beans are my favorite favorite, I’m growing enough green beans to feed a small army and I’ve just started experimenting with some new garbanzo bean recipes. Figured it was time to put all of my favorite bean recipes in one convenient spot. But please before you begin cooking any of the recipes below, sing the little jingle…Beans, beans, the musical fruit. The more you eat, the more you, well, you know. You’ve been warned. But trust me when I say these recipes make it all worth it! 😉

Great looking recipes I will copy for my vegetable binder! Thank you for the recipes! I have a suggestion for a green bean recipe. This is our family favorite:
Enough fresh snapped green beans to make up a pot full, two or three diced tomatoes, one large onion diced, one or two cloves of garlic, one TBL. celery seed, one tsp. oregano, salt and pepper to taste, and diced raw bacon…2 or 3 slices. Bring to a boil and simmer for two or three hours! This is good for several days of side dishes as it gets better each day you heat it up again.
