Spoiler alert! I didn’t buy any groceries this week.
But I did spend a crack ton on eating out. Which is something I don’t often do so it was really kind of a fun week. Here’s the rad part: I have ZERO regrets. I LOVED everything I consumed.
Mrs. HB’s Mama is in town for two weeks so we thought we’d take her to The Grey House {our new favorite spot!}. Mrs. HB asked me to pixel her face because she is a professional and works with the public. That, and the fact she doesn’t want to be recognized in the stores for not putting her toilet seat down. Baaahahahaha! Having a friend with a blog can be such a drag sometimes. 😉
Oh, and let’s take a moment to notice that Mrs. HB is wearing a scarf at the table. I have a thing about scarves. I think they look nice on people. Mrs. HB is always dressing herself up with a scarf. My mother wears them. I want to be a scarf person, I really do, but they freak me out.
I don’t like things around my neck, my wrists {watches or bracelets} or other jingle jangle things that hang off a person {me}. What if they were to get caught in something? Like heavy machinery, a door, or who knows what? So how is it, that I can put my hair up in a ponytail and not get freaked out about that? It’s a mystery to me.
Anwho, the service was AWESOME. The food was even better the second time around.
And the bread pudding and coconut pie… divine. The Grey House. You must go there. The food is delicious.
This is Frank. He sell the worlds greatest muffins in Anacortes. I’ll tell you more about him and his muffins later this week when I feature his shop on the blog.
And then there was that $32 pie lady.
We bought 2 and just finished polishing them off yesterday for breakfast.
She also just started making cheese. I have a feeling it’s going to sell well.
Other {less exciting} food I ate this week:
- Lentil Soup
- Fajitas with homemade tortillas
- Orzo Salad with pesto and sundried tomatoes
- Chicken enchiladas
- Quiche
- Breaded chicken and mashed potatoes
It was a crazy fun week with lot’s of yummy food and I didn’t even have to walk into a grocery store to buy anything.
