Well look what I found while I was going through boxes of old photos. 2 pairs of earrings!! Get.Out.Of.Town. Those gold hoops? From high school! I remember wearing them for my freshman yearbook photo. The gold earrings with pearls? My mom gave those to me to wear on my wedding day.
Guess what this means HH? I HAVE EARRINGS. Now I can look all fancy and stuff once a year when I put on my black dress and go to your work party. Giddy up!
2. Run, walk or crawl a Marathon, half marathon, 10k, and 5k race this year.
The Girl doesn’t know it yet… but she’ll be joining me on my marathon walk. 😉
3. Remodel our Master Bathroom, Master Closet and Monkey Boy’s Bathroom.
I forgot to share a photo of the bathroom mirror I found at HomeGoods last week. I think it looks great in the powder room and is just the right size for over the pedestal sink. Note to self: replace orchid plant. 😉
4. Finish Every Room in Our House.
Put a fork in me. I’m done. Well, furniture wise. There’s still that little task of painting {walls and trim} I need to get done.
5. Turn Spare Bedroom into a Cozy Home Office Space for myself.
Lucy stole the spare bedroom and I stole the HH’s office.
6. Create a Vegetable Garden.
Lemon, our little Meyer Lemon tree is still alive. Hang in there Lemon… you can do it!
7. Build a Path into the Hillside for Easy Access to the Upper Garden.
We built a fence instead.
8. Limit my personal spending to $100 a month.
On Cyber Monday Nordstrom had my ALL TIME FAVORITE Cinnamon Buns Bubble Bath on sale for $12 a bottle shipped!! I do love my bubble baths and this stuff is Ah-Mazing. I snagged a bottle and 3 free samples and I didn’t even have to leave the house. Can I get a high five? Seriously. Why people get into their cars and drive to the mall is beyond me.
I also took advantage of LLBean’s Spend $50 and get a $10 gift card promo they were running last week. I had been saving up for a pair of Bean Boots {there’s always next year} but decided to get the HH a real gift this year and picked him out something nice {using my gift cards I earned from Swagbucks}. Anywho, I used the $10 gift card from the promo PLUS a get $10 off any purchase coupon from the back of a second LLBean catalog and got myself a longsleeved black shirt for $0.95 shipped.
I think we all know I need another black shirt like I need a hole in my head, but I’m really curious to see how the LL Bean shirt stacks up the the Gap t-shirts. PLUS, LL Bean has a 100% satisfaction guarantee. Which, ummm, if I continue to wear my “uniform” until the end of time, might just come in handy. {Who’s thinking ahead now? Hmmmm}

9. Purge… Weekly. Find 10 things each week to donate to the thrift store.
10. Read 1 book a week. – My goal is to read 52 books this year
Okay so technically Lost Ocean this isn’t a reading book, but holy cannoli’s is it cool. Someone on my Christmas list is getting this and I hope they like it. I cannot believe I haven’t bought an adult coloring book for myself yet, they look a really relaxing activity.
11. Slow Down.
I’ve been working on Valentine pieces for my Etsy shop in the late afternoons and am building up a nice little stash to list in January.
12. Canning
Winter is for enjoying summer jam. 🙂
Did you set any goals for this year? If so, how are they coming along?
