I don’t have to tell you that frigid winter weather and hot, steamy soup go together like Laverne and Shirley. I’m sure you already know. And you probably already know that recipes that are quick and still delicious are the total best kind of recipes! You literally toss all the ingredients in the slow cooker and walk away. That’s it.
I already had my chicken cooked and shredded in the freezer so I just tossed it in frozen. Worked like a charm!
Ingredients
3 cups shredded chicken {I use Zaycon chicken and shred it in my stand mixer}
3 cups water
1 {14 oz} can chicken broth
1 can cream of chicken soup
3/4 cup wild rice, rinsed
1/2 teaspoon dried, crushed thyme
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
Directions
Combine all ingredients and cook on low 6-8 hours or on high 4-5 hours. See how easy?!

Just curious. On your recommendation we bought some Zaycon chicken (ground beef too). We are very happy with the process, the price and the taste. But it seems like when you use the chicken in crock pot recipes it comes out very chewy and rubbery. Any thoughts?

Has anyone tried this with another type of rice?
