Besides scrambled eggs and pancakes, waffles are about the easiest breakfast food on the planet to prepare from scratch. Luckily, everyone in our house loves them, which is just what I am looking for on a lazy Sunday morning.

Looks divine! Just wondering, do you make your own buttermilk or buy it? When my mom needs it, she makes her own.
Milk (just under one cup)
1 Tablespoon white vinegar or lemon juice
Place a Tablespoon of white vinegar or lemon juice in a liquid measuring cup.
Add enough milk to bring the liquid up to the one-cup line.
Let stand for five minute. Then, use as much as your recipe calls for.
