Quote of the Day “Slow down and enjoy life. It’s not only the scenery you miss by going to fast – you also miss the sense of where you are going and why.” Eddie Cantor
Red Alert –> Hello Monday! Do you have a to-do list about a mile long right now?
I have exactly 32 things I need to get done before Christmas and so I’ve decided not to post anymore deals this week. Instead of spending my morning hours online searching for deals, the plan is to get all my holiday baking done and finish up last minute handmade gifts. I hope you won’t mind. <– End of Red Alert
Hey, it’s Monday. Let’s do this! 🙂 🙂 🙂
♥ Mavis

My before Christmas to-do list shrank up significantly as I was informed Thursday last week we needed to celebrate Saturday because the hubby could only be home for Friday and Saturday and he is gone again until late spring. It was a chaotic mess….stressed out and unhappy kids, homemade cheesecake that didn’t have time to set, hunting through several stores for a decent Christmas ham, constantly checking all those tracking numbers for gifts I ordered online, driving to look at peoples Christmas lights with hot chocolate and cookies on Friday night, ordering last minute online toys at Target Friday night so the hubby could pick them up Saturday am and not waste time in a store and he would have something to give the kids, etc. Our Christmas dinner, Christmas Eve ritual, and Christmas gift exchange is over. It is actually kind of nice to be done 10 days early and a lot of the to-do list didn’t happen and now it doesn’t matter. Now it is leftover ham all week and working off all of the food I indulged in.

I can relate to this a tad because my honey had to travel the week of Thanksgiving. We had Turkey Day the Saturday before and he flew to China on Sunday. Many people thought I would be lonely and invited me to join them, but I opted out because I had plans to quilt ALL DAY. I had a wonderful time, and even hit a movie in the evening. Something to be said for that 🙂

Mavis,
Please enjoy this little gift that I am sending below. I thought that since have enjoyed your blog for so long that I can finally send something that YOU can have from ME. (Hint: it involves FRUIT) 🙂 Yes I, too, love Raymond. Take Care!

I have often checked out the deals you post but I am not an on-line shopper. Today I saw the Gevalia K-cups for $24.21 and asked the coffee drinker if that is a good deal. He is definitely interested, but when I click on the offer, it shows a price of $61.45. Am I doing something wrong, or has this deal expired..?
Mavis Butterfield says
There are two prices. Subscribe and save and the regular price. The cups are under the subscribe and save section.

You have to watch those subscribe and save prices. Things often change between the time I add something to the next months order and when it ships. Very irritating! And if you use your checking debit card, be aware that the ship date can happen up to a week before they say it will and can cause unexpected account drains. Learned this the hard way.
