I’m a big Michael Keaton fan so I was already excited when I saw a new movie of his: The Founder. Plus, I had heard the story of how McDonald’s came to be and I’ve always been a little intrigued by it. I watched this and loved it, so I’m making the HH sit down and watch it with me. It’s so well done and so well acted, and the story of how Ray Kroc basically stole McDonald’s from right under Mac and Dick McDonald’s nose is infuriating and fascinating. I’d highly recommend this if you’re looking for a good movie tonight. Currently on Netflix!

Since there a junk ton of movies produced every year, a few good ones I want to see slip through the cracks and I forget about them. I was scrolling through free movies on Amazon Prime and I saw Cold Mountain. Still have yet to see it but I always wanted to because it’s full of great actors: Jude Law, Nicole Kidman, Renee Zellweger. Plus, I think it won a bunch of awards back in the day. It’s a Civil War movie and it’s a love story, so if that’s not your thing, I’d skip it. But it’s what’s on the agenda for tonight.

Okay, so this isn’t a movie but oh my word, if you have not discovered The Great British Baking Show you are seriously missing out. I remember hearing about this program last year at my friend JJ’s house. She was raving about. But I was like, eh… another cooking show? How many times can you watch somebody cook something. No thanks.

Well a few weeks ago The Girl and I were looking for something to watch on Netflix and The Great British Baking Show popped up on the screen. We decided to give it a try. And now we are totally hooked. And so is my {usually non tv watching} husband.

The British and their tv programs. They sure do get them right. There is nothing loud, flashy or game show like in the filming of this program {like you’d see on The Iron Chef} it’s calm, informational and truly a pleasure to watch. And hey, if you have Netflix, seasons 1-3 are available right now to watch.
