I am your typical housewife living in high maintenance suburbia. I have a handsome husband, 2 kids and a flock of pet chickens. I try and feed my family with $100 a month. Need a light-hearted movie that will give you a couple of chuckles?  Check out The Intern.  It’s about a 70 year-old man who applies for an internship with an up and coming company when he decides retirement is boring.  Robert Di Niro is great, and I was thoroughly entertained, in a feel-good sort of way.

Oh, how I love Maggie Smith.  She is a hoot {hello, Downton Abbey fans!}.  So, this weekend, I plan on checking out The Lady in the Van.  It’s about a woman who parks her van in some guy’s driveway, under the guise of temporary, only to stay there for 15 years!

I just watched a fascinating documentary about the Beatles’ secretary Freda Kelly.  It’s called Good Ol’ Freda {it’s free on Netflix}.  We’ve all heard of the Beatles, but seriously, I bet there are lots of really interesting stories behind them–Freda being just one of them. I LOVED it!

Okay, if you liked Love Actually, you really need to check out About Time.  It’s by the same director, and it’s really quite entertaining.  It’s got an element of the supernatural, but the same endearing love story that Love Actually pulls off.
