One Hundred Dollars a Month

I am your typical housewife living in high maintenance suburbia. I have a handsome husband, 2 kids and a flock of pet chickens. I try and feed my family with $100 a month. With the help of coupons, gardening and bartering I am able to squeeze the most out of our grocery budget and still manage to have a little fun along the way.

Tonight The Girl and I are going to watch A.D.D. and Loving It?!  It’s supposed to be a comprehensive look at A.D.D.–the good, the bad and the ugly.  I am actually super interested to see this one–I know a ton of people or their children who live with A.D.D. and I’m curious how they are going to portray it in the film.

A HUGE thank you to Melissa from Facebook who recommended The Bletchley Circle.  I watched the 3 part mini series last weekend and it was awesome.  It’s about a group of women {one of whom spent her days during WWII cracking Nazi codes} that reunite to track a serial killer before he strikes again. Netflix has it for free!

Tonight, The Girl and I are going to check out Food Stamped.  It’s a documentary that attempts to show how to eat healthy on a food stamp budget.  I’m not really watching it for the political view of food stamps and whether they are enough or not, but more for the ways they try to save money and still eat healthy.  I think it is an interesting premise.

We always seem to hear about the “can’t” on eating healthy, I can’t wait to see the attempt at a “can” on a limited budget.  It’s getting pretty good reviews on amazon, so I think it might actually be decent.

Tonight The Girl and I are going to watch Euphoria.  It’s a documentary that popped up on my suggestions list on Amazon Prime.  It’s about our pursuit of happiness–and whether or not it’s working, or even possible.  It’s kind of an interesting premise, so I thought it wouldn’t hurt to check it out.  Plus, it’s FREE on Prime, so I am really not out anything.
