I am your typical housewife living in high maintenance suburbia. I have a handsome husband, 2 kids and a flock of pet chickens. I try and feed my family with $100 a month. With the help of coupons, gardening and bartering I am able to squeeze the most out of our grocery budget and still manage to have a little fun along the way.

A Few of My Favorite Things – February GiveawayIt’s back! And I had so much fun with it last month, I’ve decided I’m going to give away a big ole gift pack of my favorite things every. single. month. Wahooo!

Of course all my favorite things might not be your favorite things, but I suspect if you try out an item or two from the list below, you’d fall in love with them just like I have. I’ve got good taste peeps {okay, okay. I have some questionable taste too sometimes, but I promise you’ll totally love the stuff I’m giving away this month}. Check out the goods:

1. Sweet Peas in a Pod Necklace – I mean, come on. This necklace is so cute it almost hurts to look at it. I mean, cue the ooohs and ahhhs. If you have little ones you adore, you’re gonna love this {comes with 4 peas in your pod}.

2. Botanical Interests Super Sugar Snap Peas – The fake peas were nice, but these real peas are where it’s at. And would I really have a “My Favorite Things” list without including seeds from Botanical Interests? I think not.

3. Prepworks from Progressive Lettuce Keeper – This is one of the coolest inventions ever. When you’re growing a truckload of produce in your backyard, keeping it from browning and wilting before you get around to using it is always a problem. Until this genius invention. It’s awesome!

4. The Weekend Homesteader by Anna Hess- What I love most about this book is that it’s organized by month, so I have short little projects all mapped out for me all year long to keep me on track.

5. Retro Owls Printed Duct Tape – You never know when you’re going to need some retro owl duct tape is what I always say.

6. Fashion Leopard Pattern Shawl Scarf – Or a leopard print shawl…

7. Eiffel Tower Pendant With Chain-Bronze – This little pendant reminds me of my one of my favorite places to travel to. If you’ve never been, put it on your list!

8. Equal Exchange Organic Hot Cocoa – I can’t live without this stuff during the winter months. The Girl and I go through it like crazy!

9. {2} Equal Exchange Organic Dark Chocolate Orange Bars – A little something for you to hide in your purse to satisfy that sweet tooth.

10. Equal Exchange French Roast Coffee – On the off chance the hot cocoa just isn’t doing the trick!

11. 1 dozen Wooden Berry Baskets – These cute baskets have a million uses: perfect for party favors or even a small neighbor gift.

12. Week by Week Vegetable Gardeners Handbook – A book of weekly to-do lists that break gardening down into easily manageable tasks? Of course I’m going to love it!

13. Botanical Interests Valentine Lettuce Seeds – More seeds. Tell me you’re not surprised! 😉

14. Bob’s Red Mill Vegi Soup Mix – If I’m in a hurry and don’t have time to make my own soup, Bob’s Red Mill to the rescue. Not as good as homemade of course, but you won’t see me complaining!

15. Set of 5 Flour Sack Towels – These are the most versatile towels ever. They are wonderful for drying dishes or simply covering rising bread. You’re gonna love them.

I’m not sure how it is in your house, but Lucy is like one of the family around here. Alright, so she’s more spoiled than both of my human children combined. The main ingredient in both is meat {meat is 80% of the treat in the Z-fillets!}, and that meat is carefully chosen so they know its source is trustworthy and they know it’s safe. That’s so important to me when choosing a treat to feed an animal I love like family.

A Few of My Favorite Things Giveaway

10. Nothing Without You Magnet: If you’re tired of the lame-o flimsy Joe’s Plumbing Shop or other advertising magnets currently keeping your kids’ masterpieces stuck on the fridge, you’ll love these heavy duty fridge magnets. They’re adorable and the quotes rock.
