I am your typical housewife living in high maintenance suburbia. I have a handsome husband, 2 kids and a flock of pet chickens. I try and feed my family with $100 a month. With the help of coupons, gardening and bartering I am able to squeeze the most out of our grocery budget and still manage to have a little fun along the way.

tea and scones

I’m taking the day off from posting deals to sleep in and enjoy the scenery instead. The Girl and I are in London, England and we’ve got to save our strength for high tea, tours and Hyde Park.

Have you ever been so tired you can’t sleep? I mean you lay down, close your eyes, and think you’re falling asleep, only to wake up like 15 minutes later. Well, that’s where I’m at right now.

Tired.

But too tired to sleep.

My mind keeps racing because there are so many things I need to get done. Clean the house, wash a few loads of laundry, take a bunch of boxes to recycling, tackle a particular garden project, take down the Christmas tree, stare at my empty refrigerator, and then when all those projects are done, sit in utter silence and think about my goals for 2013 {there’s still time, right?}.

The only catch is, I need time to do all these things.

So today, I’m taking the day off from blogging.

I promise I’ll be back tomorrow, ready to go, to tackle a new day and to prepare for a new year.

But for now, I’m going back to bed.
