I am your typical housewife living in high maintenance suburbia. I have a handsome husband, 2 kids and a flock of pet chickens. I try and feed my family with $100 a month. With the help of coupons, gardening and bartering I am able to squeeze the most out of our grocery budget and still manage to have a little fun along the way.

Hello Friday!

Oh my word people, I had such a serious food coma at around 3 pm that I had to lay down and take a 20 minute nap. I ate WAY to much and now I’m going to have to go on a very long walk today to burn off that third helping of mashed potatoes. 😉 How about you? Are you feeling particularly stuffed today as well?

I hope you had a lovely day and I don’t know about you, but I am looking forward to a slow weekend putting around the backyard cleaning up {what I think is} the last round of leaves.

HELLO and HAPPY Wednesday! Guess what? It’s not raining. It’s a freakin’ miracle!!!!!! I am so excited. I think a very long walk with the puggle princess is in order today and then after that, I’m going to make my Grandma’s Cherry Cola Jell-O salad recipe so we can enjoy it tomorrow with our turkey feast. Oh happy day!

Hello Tuesday! is your turkey thawing in the fridge yet? The HH reminded us to put ours in the fridge last night so The Girl should be all set to roast the turkey on Thanksgiving morning. Which makes me wonder… when do YOU sit down to eat your Thanksgiving meal? Midday or evening? We are in the midday group because we like to circle back for more bites later in the day. 😉
