I had so much fun giving away tickets to the Mother Earth News Fair last year, that I’m doing it again thanks to the peeps at Mother Earth News! I’m giving away 5 sets of weekend passes to this year’s Mother Earth News Fair, held at the Puyallup Fair Grounds Saturday, May 31st from 9:00 AM-7:00 PM and Sunday, June 1st, 2014 from 9:00 AM-5:00 PM.

If you want to learn more about renewable energy, gardening or even cheesemaking, The Mother Earth News Fair is the place to be! Come enjoy local food, family entertainment, hands-on workshops, and a vast eco-friendly marketplace at the Mother Earth News Fair.

The awesome peeps from Botanical Interests Seed Company will be there so make sure you stop by their booth to stock up on some awesome seeds and tell them Mavis sent ya! 🙂

Holy Canolies!

Yesterday my buddies Amberlina and Lola and I packed up a wheelbarrow full of gnomes and headed on down to the Mother Earth News Fair in Puyallup to hang out with my online boyfriend Ryan from Botanical Interests Seeds.

It. Was. Nuts!

Not only did we help Ryan sell a few seeds in his booth, but we were also able to raise over $450 dollars for our Send in the Gnomes fundraiser for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Several One Hundred Dollars a Month readers stopped by to say “Hi.” It was totally awesome!

It was fun to meet everyone in person and finally put a name to a face.

Some peeps stopped by to drop off gnomes, some adopted them and some loaded up on boatload of seeds.

It was a blast! Thank you soooo much for coming by.

Oh, and a big thank you to everyone who went up to Ryan and told him he was a “total hottie.” We had him passing out free radish seeds and blushing pretty much the entire afternoon. It was hilarious.

Getting to meet my readers is always a reminder that I am not alone sitting on the computer all day typing about my crazy gardening obsession. So, thanks for helping me keep it real, people.

Only 3 more days until I’ll be hanging with my gnomies at the Mother Earth News Fair in Puyallup, WA from 9 am to 5 pm on Saturday June 1st. Is it on your calendar yet? It should be. And not just because you get to meet me and my online boyfriend Ryan from Botanical Interests.

It’s also a great way to get in on the Send in the Gnome Project. Not only will I be collecting gnomes there (saves money on shipping!), but you can also adopt a gnome right then and there and even make a cash donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

The Mother Earth News Fairs are family-oriented, sustainable lifestyle events, packed with hands-on workshops and demonstrations on renewable energy, small-scale farming, green building, organic gardening and more.

The Mother Earth News Fairs are family-oriented, sustainable lifestyle events, packed with hands-on workshops and demonstrations on renewable energy, small-scale farming, green building, organic gardening, sustainable agriculture, green home building and more! So expect to get down and dirty at the MOTHER EARTH NEWS FAIR!

I’ll be hanging with my gnomies at the Mother Earth News Fair from 9 am to 5 pm on Saturday, June 1st in the Botanical Interests booth with my online boyfriend Ryan so come on by and tell him what a hottie he is and who knows, maybe he’ll give you a free packet of radish seeds.

I’ll also be having ~~coffee~~ tea with local gardener Erica Strauss from NWEdible in the food court area from 2-3 pm on Saturday if you want to stop by and join us for an informal garden Q&A session.
