So this one time I made some Nutella Banana Bread and HOLY CATS it was amazing. So I figured if I twisted that recipe into a muffin recipe it would be equally awesome. I was right. These are totally good and should be baked and shared and eaten often. I’m working on that sharing bit.
This recipe makes 12 glorious muffins and they freeze well to. MAKE them… you’ll be so glad you did.
The Best Ever Nutella Banana Muffins
Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 medium over-ripe bananas , mashed
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup Nutella , melted
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 350 F. Line muffin tin with liners and set aside.
-
Whisk flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt in a medium mixing bowl until combined. Set aside.
-
In a stand mixer, combine banana, sugar, and brown sugar until incorporated. Beat in the egg, oil and vanilla and mix until combined. Slowly add in flour mix, stirring just until incorporated.
-
Divide batter equally among 12 liners {about 3/4 full}. Drizzle each muffin with about 1 teaspoon of Nutella and use a toothpick to swirl it into the batter.
-
Bake muffins until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean {beware of the ooey, gooey Nutella that might trip you up here}, or about 18 minutes.

Okay these things are WAY too good!! Now I’m going to have to start buying Nutella at Costco! LOL Seriously though, I’m going to have to make and freeze a bunch of these things. Might go to “mini muffins” though to try and keep that calorie count down a bit. ๐ Thanks for yet another super tasty recipe! ๐
