The 150 bare root strawberry plants I ordered finally arrived last night. I chose a June bearing variety so they will come on all at once and we can make jam. Monkey Boy loves his strawberry jam. I think we are down to the last jar from the 2008 harvest, so the timing was perfect.
Giant clumps of 25 bare root strawberries in each package.
I sorted, separated, and sprinkled them with a little water before planting.
Strawberries planted and ready to grow. Hopefully by the summer’s end this garden box will be covered in green and red!
