Sometimes when I’m invited to a party and I have to bring something, I’m torn between cooking up something delicious, ignoring the calories and fat content, and going all out with a dish people will be talking about for months. Or showing up with something on the healthier side. Occasionally I’ll make something that is the best of both worlds: healthy and so freakin good!
I brought this dip with a side of veggies and pita chips to a gathering the other day and it was a total hit! All the ladies were raving about it and begging for the recipe. So I thought I’d do one better and share it here. It’s so easy to make, so healthy and so yummy. It’s a keeper!
Ingredients
2 cups plain Greek yogurt
2 cups diced cucumber
1/4 cup lemon juice
3 tablespoons dried dill weed
2 garlic cloves, minced
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
In a mixing bowl, combine all ingredients. Salt and pepper to taste. Serve chilled with veggies, pita bread or pita chips. Enjoy.

Love your website! Just a helpful hint for tzatziki I learned from my Greek friend. She grates the cucumber then squeezes out the liquid from the cucumbers before adding to the yogurt. It’s less watery that way. Enjoy!

I peel the cukes and put them the food processor for a smooth sauce to go with my chicken gyros.
