The flowers… they were EVERYWHERE. Seriously, if you are looking for ways to spruce up your window boxes, garden planters or just need some landscaping ideas, Victoria B. C. is the place to go.
It was not humanly possible to walk down a street there and not see flowers.
Total flower porn.
This planter with pink geraniums was one of my favorites. Does anyone know what those tiny white flowers are? I am totally going to plant this combo next year.
Victoria should be named the flower capital of the world!!
I’ve been a lot of places and I have never seen so many flowers. To say it was lovely would be a total understatement. 🙂 Mavis

Have you been to Buchardt Gardens, just outside of Victoria, Mavis?
The flowers are incredible! I was there as a kid, 48 years ago. Went again three years ago. It was a beautiful as I’d remembered…

I second the Bacopa. We were there for our honeymoon, ten years ago next month. Amazing. PLEASE tell me you went to the Butchart Gardens.

Bacopa. When I lived in Lynden, all the Lynden baskets had bacopa. It will trail REALLY long if you let it. I love your pictures! So ready for another visit to Victoria.

Butchart gardens are amazing, next trip. You can easily take the bus from Victoria. Mavis you will love them!
Sandra says
Bacopa (my father’s favorite flower) was difficult to find in the nurseries near me this year. I wonder if most of it went to Victoria? I finally found some at WalMart.

If you don’t have time to get to Butchart Gardens, check out Beacon Hill Park. Beautiful (and FREE!!!).

I found 6 pk of bacopa at Home Depot. I also found lots of single bacopa plants at Fred Meyer. I hope you went to Butchart Gardens while you were there. Did you have High Tea at The Empress? I did once and it was really fun and relaxing. Of course I brought hats….and you can make your own in a flash of a cone, too.
Mavis Butterfield says
Hats are a must for high tea! Yep, we brought them. 🙂
