There are only 7 weeks to go and I kind of feel like I should start planning a victory party of some sort… But I don’t want to jinx myself. Hmmm. Oh well, I picked up a few things this week… nothing super exciting, and I still have not figured out how in the world I am going to get a free or cheap turkey yet. I’ll will have to do some research… Who knows maybe I could enter some sort of contest for a free bird and win one. One can hope.
Alright… Well here we go:
15 Bags of Dog treats
$1.49 I don’t have a dog… But the dog treats will sure make a great donation!
3 loaves of bread, 3 Sara Lee Pound Cakes, 2 tubs of butter spread, 10 bags of chocolate chips, 1 bag of M & M’s, 12 bags of cough drops, 2 Halloween clearance tubs of black frosting, 6 mac & cheese cups, 1 soy sauce, 2 bags of croutons, 3 bags of dog treats, 2 boxes of scalloped potatoes, 2 baby cereal, 4 cranberry sauce, 1 box of frozen rolls, 2 rolls of paper towels and 2 gallons of milk.
I spent $17.16 on everything you see above PLUS 3 loaves of bread (the HH put them in the freezer before I noticed). Hot diggety! It appears I have plenty of chocolate chips for The Girl Who Thinks She’s A Birds Christmas cookie decorating party in December.
Total Spent This Week $0 oop*
Total Spent Year To Date $ 1182.38.
I now have $17.62 in cash to spend, a $2 catalina coupon, and a balance of $75.77 left on my *Albertsons gift card. I’m thinking it would be nice to end November with around $50 left in my wallet. I still have to buy a turkey for Thanksgiving, and baking supplies for Christmas cookies. So If I can make to the end of the month without going crazy on grocery purchases… I think I’ll make it.

I have no doubt you will meet your goal 🙂 I am wondering though are you going to keep the same monthly budget amount again for 2012?
I am so thrilled…I heard you can combine (stack) the $5 rewards certs from Albies, so I am working on my third one to be able to spend $15 towards our “free” bird!
Mavis says
Heather,
you will just have to keep reading to find out what I have in store for next year. 😉
I didn’t know you could stack the $5 rewards. That is exciting!
Desi says
I sure hope that Albies will decide the $5 is worth it and do the rewards in Idaho. I know I would spend more money there if they did.
MaryBeth says
I feel exactly the same. I would LOVE to see the rewards come to Idaho. If it meant I’d never have to step foot in Walmart again 🙂 I actually have nothing bad with Walmart except that the lines are usually a mile long!

I just bought my turkey today! It is a Butterball turkey, on sale for $0.69/lb. then I used a $3.00 off wyb 4 other products which I had coupons for so I paid about $19.00 for a 21 lb turkey, 2 boxes of stuffing & 2 cans of gravy AND then there is a $5.00 rebate for the Butterball turkey online! So it’s like getting it all for $14.00 to me that’s a good deal! Just thought I’d share! 🙂

Breana or Mavis…
Oh.my.stars…$5.00 Butterball rebate online?! What’s the link or its it on the bird somewhere?
Mavis says
Hi Heather. I searched online for you and it appears the “rebate” offer is gone. The deal was: If you bought a Butterball Turkey you could mail in the upc, register receipt and for and you would receive (5) $1.00 off coupons for Butterball turkey products.
Mavis says
Thanks Breana. I don’t know why it’s taken me so long to find a turkey deal… I’m getting a little nervous. Lol
Breana says
I don’t know why the rebate form isn’t pulling up. They just started advertising it on Sunday and the promotions webpage shows it still. So I called their 800 number and the woman didn’t know why it wasn’t showing up either, so she is mailing me the rebate form! 🙂
