With all the wild mushrooms popping in our yard lately, I’m thinking about ordering a Mushroom Field Guide*. Every fall when it starts to rain, the mushrooms start appearing at random in every nook and cranny in our yard. There doesn’t seem to be a pattern in where they appear either. And sometimes, the mushrooms only appear for a day before they disappear. It’s kind of creepy really. Clearly some of these are poisonous, but which ones?
A few weeks ago you told me I had shaggy mane growing in the old potato bed. But how about these? Can you identify them?

P.S. Don’t worry, I’m not planning on eating them. But with all these mushrooms, I might need a truffle dog or something.

We have this all over our yard. They often grow near birch trees. A Ukranian couple comes to my house twice a year and asks to forage them. I’m way too chicken to forage for mushrooms.
Sorry, I don’t know what they’re called.

My ex-produce man says they look like Chantrelles, although don’t seem as golden. If you are still interested, heres a link that might get you started.
