The Girl walked over to the coop this morning to let the chickens out. She was greeted with feathers strewn all over the backyard, the garden and on top of the chicken coop. She knew instantly what had happened.
Ricky Raccoon ate Picasso.
From what we can put together… Picasso did not make it back to the coop before curfew. The Girl locked up her birds last night but did not count heads. Picasso must have come back sometime shortly thereafter and decided to hunker down on top of the coop. At some point during the night, Ricky the Raccoon came along… Very sad. Picasso was a sweet bird.
