Last weekend Monkey Boy had the super fun task of pressure washing the back porch… He did such an amazing job… I think I’ll have him do the entire driveway this weekend (shhh don’t tell him ๐ Any who… The reason the back porch needed to be pressured washed was… well… the chickens have been “free ranging” all winter long… and… well… you know…
As of today… the “free ranging” party is over…
At least partially…
The chickens still have about a 60 x 60 foot area to scratch, roll, and forage around in… but from now until October… the rest of the backyard is off limits.
Let’s just say this morning they were not at all amused when they saw the fence…
I had to open a can of corn just to shut her up…
The trick to getting chickens to be quite in a hurry…
Is to fling the corn far and wide…
If you can do that… it will keep them occupied for hours…
But of course after all the corn is gone…
They’ll just go back to their regularly scheduled shenanigans…

In other Home and Garden News…
And I paid FULL PRICE!!!
My tomato seedlings were getting rather leggy…
Wait a second… Mavis… YOU have a garden?
I thought you only ate cheap processed food…
Don’t be silly…
It just happens to look like crap right now…
I’ll have it looking picture perfect!
