I’m not sure how it is in your house, but Lucy is like one of the family around here. Alright, so she’s more spoiled than both of my human children combined. So it would make sense that we’d finally get around to having a giveaway just for the special 4-legged friend{s} in your life. And we figured we’d make it an awesome giveaway few canine’s could resist! One lucky dog lover will win a $50 prize pack of assorted dog treats from Zuke’s!

zuke's dog treatsAnd honestly, it’s a good thing Lucy can’t talk, because I suspect we’d never hear the end of her love for Zuke’s all-natural dog treats. We’ve been giving them to her since she was a pup and she thinks it’s Christmas every time she gets one.

zuke's lil' linksWe’ve tried other brands of treats and they just don’t measure up.  There are some brands she all out refuses to eat, but she has never turned down a Zuke’s treat! And we have no problem buying them for her because Zuke’s use only the safest, all-natural ingredients in their products. As a bonus, they’re also made in the USA and many varieties are grain-free. Plus, unlike many other brands of dog food/treats, Zuke’s has never been recalled!

The main ingredient in both is meat {meat is 80% of the treat in the Z-fillets!}, and that meat is carefully chosen so they know its source is trustworthy and they know it’s safe. That’s so important to me when choosing a treat to feed an animal I love like family.

And they are clearly Lucy approved. I mean just look at that tongue. She thinks Zuke’s treats are lip-smacking good!

  4. Wowzer!! My Bella the Chihuahua is leaping at the mention of treats!
    She’s has a love of chicken and Apple’s but also loves a good chew bone like Lucy! I give Bella all natural treats and nothing from China!! She’s my side kick and goes everywhere with me, even to get the mail! Yes she’s spoiled so this would really make her day and mine if she wins!! Thanks Mavis for thinking of our pooches!!

  5. Our very spoiled jackabee, Bubba, loves Zuke’s. He is a massively picky little guy, but never turns his nose up at Zuke’s. He is a jerky holic (chicken, of course), but is also wildly addicted to the chicken mini naturals. The mini naturals are the perfect treat when training, cause they are small, healthy and full of flavor. Zuke’s is number one for our house.

  7. Mini naturals look like the treats that my three dogs would like best… Beau is our smallest a chihuahua, Lucy is a mix that we inherited, and our largest dog is a terroir my girlfriends daughter couldn’t keep last October !!! They all love treats!!!

  8. I have a spoiled GSD…he is very spoiled and thinks hes a lap dog when hes not he weighs 90 some odd LBS….his name is Zeus hes my buddy and protector watches over me while I garden I think he would love the Zbones but then again he loves everything I give him….

  10. My fur baby is a 4 1/2 year old jack Russell terrier named R.J. R.J. will eat ANYTHING! Sometimes that’s a problem because he likes to hunt for his treats in the back yard. It’s rare that a rabbit will dare to enter anymore! Maybe a tasty Zukes treat will deter him from his daily hunts for a while. I don’t think he would be picky about the flavor. Thanks for your awesome site!

  11. Sprocket and Sputnik are big fans of Zukes. They’ve not had the Z-bones yet, but the mini treats are a staple in this house. Our dog trainer turned us onto them, and the girls will ALWAYS follow a command when there’s a mini involved. Thank you and Lucy!

  12. My puppies Rosie and Ralphie don’t seem to be very picky. I’m sure they would love them all and maybe I could use them to train them to be slightly less naughty dogs.

  13. I have two doggies – Scooby and Bella. Bella would wrestle Scooby to the ground for whatever treat bag is open. She’s very non-discerning when it comes to yummy treats.

  15. I have two sidekicks or rather under-my-feet-kicks at my house. Lilly the Beagle and Bruno my ever faithful Lab. I have stopped giving my dogs store-bought treats with all the recalls and not knowing of one made in the USA. I started them on baby carrots, I feel like they are healthy and they eat them as a treat but I KNOW they would much rather have something that at least resembled a meat treat. These two would LOVE the Lil’links for sure!

  16. Okay…I Never leave comments…but I will for Zukes! My lab pups (yes, alright, they are 3 now) absolute love them. I love them because they are healthy and I am so picky about the food these boys eat that they have all homemade food; except for Zukes. Use them for training. They are in every sense of the word a Treat.

  20. Hi Mavis ~ My husband and I have two Golden Retrievers who are 5 years old ~ they are sisters & we’ve had them since they were little pups. They are now big dogs & love their treats but it is hard to find those that are healthy & taste good, too. Our girls, Emma & Sadie would love the Z-bones, I’m sure.   21. My fur baby is a black lab named Dahlia Rose and she is my world. I thought I was getting a low maintenance dog but boy was I wrong!! She would love to try the rabbit apple sausages due to the fact that shes blessed with allergies!

  26. Baxter is a yellow lab. As such, he will eat anything and I mean anything, even things no dog should ever eat. But lets say Z-Bones.

My two “mistreated, neglected, unloved, abused” dogs (who are currently snuggled up next to me on the couch under their favorite blankies) are named “Shaggy” & “Lady”, both rescue poodles – Lady was a puppy mill dog, and Shaggy was given up for adoption. They would love the Lil’ Links, I’m a thinking. And, I have to say…my fave pics of yours are the ones with Lucy in them! 🙂

  36. My sweet Charlotte would LOVE the Lil Links. She is a Heinz 57 – part black lab, retriever, chow, border collie & who knows what else?! We adopted her from a shelter 5 years ago and she is the best!

  38. Since I have 8 nosebags, I’ll have to go with the littlest one, Poblano, and what she would think. She would go for the li’l links. She is a min pin/chihuahua mix who thinks she is a rotwieller, and who tries to be the boss of everything else in the house. She loves puppy treats.

  39. My yellow lab Henry, named in honor of my dad whom we lost 2 years ago yesterday, is bundle of energy. I think he would like the Lil’ Links.

  41. We have a 13 month old German Shepard and she is beyond a handful, luckily we have kids to help keep her busy. Although any of these snacks will be great for her I think she will like the Z-Bones. We usually can’t afford to spoil her with treats so this will be a great day for her if she wins.

  42. I have not tried Zukes yet, although Vitamin Cottage now carries that instead of the Dogswell brand I was buying. I didnt see any jerky in the options and I cannot feed something small as I have 3 rescues, one of which is a food gobbler, I’m not sure that he even slows down to breathe. I have Austin 11yo, who is a poodle mix, Mhiya 7 yo, a papillon and Scout 4 yo, a Pom mix. Austin was tied to a pole in WY for the first 2 years of his life and it’s been a challenge from day one for him. He was a fear biter, food hoarder, didnt want to be touched, didnt know how to play…he was just a scared little boy. He has made huge strides, but he still gobbles food and will not come when called, even when food is involved; although he is a GREAT cuddler once I catch him.

  43. I have to go with the Z-bones, I have a 16 month old english mastiff, Zeus the Moose! and he would loves these!

  45. Buenos Nachos! I have 3 sidekicks (yes I was that kid and now that mama that brings home anyone that needs a home). Sir Edward is our Irish Wolfhound, Lucy (aka the princess of everything) is our Rottweiler & Ms Tess (the boss) is our Chihuahua. Lucy & Tess will take anything we offer. Eddie is a bit more fickle. He is has always been super picky but now that he’s getting up there in years, he is even more so. Even though he is Irish, he too was born with crappy british teeth… I think his mama may have a deep dark secret that she doesn’t want anyone to find out about ha! Anywho, he has a hard time with any kind of hard treat but LOVES the chewy ones. I make him his own special pumpkin peanut butter oatmeal doggy crack chewy treats because I feel bad when Lucy & Tess get treats & he refuses to take the crunchy ones they’re getting(& I’m a sucker). I might also be that mom that has been known to scramble up a few eggs or make him his own puppy chicken stew… (wow… I didn’t realize how that would sound when said out loud Ha! I really am THAT GUY) I think the Jerky Naturals would be right up his alley! I love love love that they are natural & not packed full of by-products & junk!

  46. Are there any with PEanut Butter? I think Scooby would eat rocks if they had peanut butter on them! LOL Seriously though he will eat anything and would want it all! Greedy, that’s our boy.

  47. My big baby would say “any and all” LOL. The little one may try the Jerky Naturals, but she is very picky on what she will even sniff let alone put in her mouth.   48. Shmirtz(named after dr. Doofenshmirtz) is a tubby cocker who will eat anything and everything. I would be grateful for anything he can chew on besides barbies and pillows.

  49. Oscar Mayer and Wiener Schnitzel would Love the Mini Naturals! My boys are dachshunds, Oscar is a standard red, and Schnitzel is a mini black and tan.

  50. My furry child is a Shiba Inu named James (never Jim or…..heaven forbid…..Jimmy). He’s the dog who thinks he’s a cat. 35 pounds trying to curl up in your lap can be a problem. He’d love the Z-Filets. He loves things he can hold in his paws and chew on and they look like they fit the bill.

  52. My sidekick is a lab/pointer mix we rescued 10 years ago. She is always hungry and has not been known to turn down any edible (and some non-edible for that matter) treat. I think all of them would be her favorite!

    A border collie named Cap, a rat terrier named Tank and a yellow lab/great dane mix named Barney .
    All 3 would love any treat! I’m making dog biscuits today in fact with my home canned pumpkin and some peanut butter-yum!

  57. We have two babies, Chowder (6 years old) and Mocha (8 months old). Both are small dogs but they definitely love their food and their treats (have to spell out the “treat” word sometimes so they don’t get too excited). I think they would love all of the Zuke’s treats especially the Z Filets.

  58. My baby girl is almost 7 years old now and is a Catahoula Leopard Dog mix. She’s my child with 4 legs! She’s the best dog I could have ever asked for. I love the Zuke’s minis. They are great for training, and great for trips to the ocean, where she is off leash, and will come running back for a yummy treat!

  59. Our rescue dog, Benji, has a ‘gotcha day’ coming up next week (since don’t know his ‘birthday’ we’re celebrating the day we got him!) We are still using training treats for him and the mini naturals look like they would be perfect.

  61. Our “little girls” aren’t picky, but I think they’d love the Mini Naturals best. We have two “little girls”: a 3 year old golden retriever and a 2 year old German shepherd. They are delightful dogs, and bring these empty-nesters lots of joy!

  62. we use the mini naturals like crazy (i mean that we buy them in bulk on amazon) for conformation training and upland bird training. they are the best b/c they are tiny morsels that get the dogs motivated and keeps them happy!

  68. I think my 13-year-old would like the mini naturals, given how is it is hard for her to chew anymore but she LOVES to chew. In fact, like many older folks, treats and dinner are the highlights of her day! At least that’s the way it seems … but they all sound great. We spoil her too. 🙂

  77. My Big Dog (aka Chewy) is a rescue Newfie/lab mix (hence his nick name) and he loves all treats but since he is getting on in years (10 this spring) I think the Hip ones would be best for him. But truly he would eat any I put in front of him!

Ebony I have had since she was 4 weeks old. The other 2 came from not so loving, abusive homes. They love their treats and these all natural treats would be perfect for them.

  83. We have a very active 3 year old American yellow lab named Chukar – or Chuckie for short. He would love any of the Zuke’s products! But the Zuke’s Power Bones are what would fit his lifestyle best since he is so energetic and always on the go.

  84. We adopted the sweetest 2 year old yellow lab from the shelter this past spring. Hudson loves all treats but I think the Z-bones would be a favorite!!

  85. My babies LOVE Zuke’s and they’d enjoy any type! Fannie, my English bulldog wants the Z Bones and Sprout, my Brussels Griffon definitely wants Lil Links. And both say hi to Lucy and Thank you!

  87. I have 4 dogs. Two mixes and two rat terriers. The rat terriers are very hyper. One Bambideer is very neurotic but she is very smart, learning new tricks all the time. The big mix we have is very laid back. He winks at you and we think he was Houdini in a former life as he can escape from any enclosure. The mix puppy we have is very loving and sweet but will bark up a storm at people, other dogs, he wants all their attention. He is so cute so we cannot be mad at him for all the noise. I think my dogs would like the jerky the best. Actually they would probably like all the treats as they love meat! Dogs are funny pets!

  88. My Shelby is a laso aposa and Annie is a French Brittany. These girls are part of our family and we love them. They would love the Z-bones

  92. Our little Remi (short for Remington because he is such a pistol) is a Shih-Tzu mix that we rescued. He is quite the character and brings so much joy to our lives. He has looked closely at Zuke’s offerings and feels fairly certain the fillets will be his favorite, but he would appreciate the opportunity to sample them all….just to be sure.

  94. My baby Pete is a 90+ pound German Shepherd and would love Z-Bones! He needs a big treat and they look large enough for his big baby body. He’s just over a year and rules the roost! He would thank you a bunch as would I!

  96. Well, Cruiser , my Rat Terrier, the thief , as he is known, would prefer the Z bones. I will have to hide them in a high cupboard, he has severe issues with kleptomania, oh, but that is another issue altogether.
    Then there is Martha Marie Murphy. She is a Bichon , a sweet little , delicate girl who always behaves and waits her turn. Martha prefers the Mini Naturals. They both love Zukes !

  99. The Z-fillets please. Otis and Ollie the boxer rescue gang and Syd our 18 year old poodle would love them. Very sweet of Lucy to share. I know ours wouldn’t.

  102. I have two canine kids and they LOVE Zukes! Morgan (1yr old Boxer/Visla rescue) and Ella (2 yr old Dalmatian/healer rescue) love the Zukes Jerky Naturals. Both of my girls are grain-free (Morgan has skin allergies) and I love that I can get them grain-free treats that they both love and I feel good about feeding them. Ella and Morgan even sent a box of assorted Zukes to the woman that runs the rescue organization that found them for me.   112. My little yorkie, Tripod, would love those mini treats. His little teeth prefer small bites. We rescued Tripod two years ago. Someone hit him with their car and his front left leg had to be amputated. But he’s a very fast runner and a real trooper!

  114. My dog Dixie is a Viszla/Dachsund mix. We adopted her from a local humane society here in Michigan but she was sent up from Mississippi. This is her first winter and boy is it a doozie for her. She doesn’t mind the snow but these -30 windchills are definitely not her cup of tea! She loves performing tricks for treats and I’m sure she would love the Minis.

  116. My two spoiled dogs love ANY kind of treat but they both prefer soft jerky type treats the best! My 8 old old chocolate lab has a fair amount of food food allergies so the fact that these treats are grain free is a big plus, plus my little min-pin mix just wants to eat what ever his big sister has.

  125. This grandma loves to spoil her grand dog Riley who is also a pug. Plus I am “fussy” what I giver her. Riley knows when grandma goes into her treat basket for goodies (too cute) she really gets so excited. Knowing these are a good quality product I would love to treat lil Ms Riley.

She even lets my son’s rabbit climb on her. I think she deserves the treats.

  140. l have 4 therapy dogs, all rescues… Remy and lnca are standard poodles, Leo is a standard poodle/Leonberger, and Belle is a 7-pound toy poodle (although at 16 she’s a retired therapy dog). They would love every variety, but l’d like them to try the Z-fillets!

  142. Mavis, we have two large and energetic goldendoodles, one of whom has a long history of gut issues and gluten intolerance. Zukes are one of our very favorite treats to give them. Not only are they gluten free, but they are so healthy for them! Sampson and Onyx gobble up the Peanut Butter or Salmon Zuke’s Mini Natural treats. They actually love them all, but the size of the Minis makes them perfect for training or positive reinforcement. They also like the moist, chewy texture.

  145. HI Mavis! My Darling Dog is a 4 year old English Pointer named Sir Huckleberry Finn. He sleeps in the bed and rides in the car just like a human. From time to time, he even indulges in a sip or two of fine crafted beer. Yup, he’s 100%, Grade A, spoiled rotten for sure. He is my baby, my fur-child and the apple of my and my husband’s eye.

    Huck has a preference for soft or chewy treats, but he would likely enjoy ANY of the treats that have been Lucy the Puggle Dog approved.

  157. I have one sidekick of my own, Chestnut. She is a 12 year old beagle. Cute as a button. I love all the pictures of Lucy that you post. I also have 150 more that I help take care of. I retired this year from teaching and volunteer walking dogs at the animal shelter. Currently I am walking 12 dogs a day at the shelter. It’s a good way to get in the miles and help some sweet dogs.   158. We have two fantastic dogs, Bonnie our Australian cattle dog, who we got from a neighbor when we first moved here 12 years ago. She’s our faithful, beloved “old lady” and has kept us safe from snakes, coyotes, and strangers. Our German shepherd/golden retriever mix, Clyde, is the young fella who my son rescued when he was out on a fence-building job up in Page, Arizona. He prefers to bark at birds and horny toads. but we love him to death and he keeps our dear Bonnie company. I think they would absolutely love the jerky naturals.

He’s a small dog who thinks he’s a big dog. Crows receive a good, loud lashing if they dare fly over his air space (our backyard). He knows many tricks, and training him was easier than I ever thought it would be. He’s still learning, so I would choose the Mini Naturals because he loves him some “Good Boy” treats.

I got him my sophomore year in college and he is now taking a turn for the worse. He has his puppy moments when i come home to my pillow stuffing all over the floor. He would love the z-bones since he loves to chew anything he can get a hold of.

She is not picky, and will eat everything put in front of her, dropped, or just found. She is 12 years old, so any soft treat would be gobbled up.

We have a blue heeler named Conway Twitty….he was initially supposed to be my fiancé’s cow dog to help him work the cattle by herding, etc, but seems to prefer the A/C and the couch more to the hard working ranch dog life. He’s pretty proficient in about 10 different tricks though so he’s pretty good at entertaining. He’d prefer the lil links I think….always begging for people food, so maybe we could convince him those are people food haha.

  184. My black lab mix River is a bad gardner. Last year was my first attempt at home vegetable gardening and I built a small raised bed. After carefully building, digging, filling, and planting my box with delicate rows of vegetable seeds River decided it smelled fantastic and she wanted to smell that good too. She jumped in and had a good roll around while I was putting tools away. I still had a decent harvest, but my carrots were mixed with my lettuce and I lost most of my broccoli. Still, she’s cute, and she’s done a very good job of keeping the rabbits away, so I’d treat her with the z-bones.

  185. What an awesome giveaway! Dogs are amazing at showing up at just the right moment and changing lives! I do not normally share, but our story about how we came to own Izzy is really sweet. Our sweet Izzy (a Silkie) came to us at just the right time in our life (July 3rd of last year). We had just lost our son at 22 weeks into our pregnancy and had also just had to euthanize our American Bulldog due to cancer (all within two weeks of each other and neither were expected). We were shattered. Izzy was a rescue dog our 9 year old nephew had rescued about 6 months prior. When we lost Noah, our son, and then Lady, our Bulldog, my nephew went to his mom and told her “Mom, I think Jesus would want me to give Izzy to Aunt J and Uncle S. I think she could help make them happy again.” So she called me and asked if we would like to have Izzy and I said I just didn’t know if I could deal with a new dog. She told me to think about it. We discussed it and she brought the dog over for a couple of days to visit and see what happened. My husband who was adamantly opposed to a small lap dog fell in love and she never left. We spoil her rotten and love her so much. It is amazing how much healing and love our fur friends can bring us. Dogs can change peoples’ lives! Anyway back to the question Izz would probably like the minis.

  186. My dog Murphy is a sweet little couch potato. She likes to snuggle (ideally on the bed) and despises the nasty cold weather or rain. She does, however, keep me company in the garden, mostly by basking in the sun or digging up chives (I don’t know why!!!). I think she would like the bones the most as she is a bone fanatic and goes wild for anything bone-inspired. Thanks!

  189. We just adopted a Saint Bernard from a shelter and I have never met a dog so picky! He was 30 pounds underweight and would still turn up his nose at most food and treats (there is no evidence of an allergy – he is just amazingly picky).   213. Baxter is my best friend. He is almost 2 years old and the biggest clown I have ever seen! He is also the smartest dogs I have ever been owned by. He taught himself how to open doors, the kind you have to twist… I have to lock the outside door to keep him from roaming the neighborhood. We have strict leash laws so he can’t wonder just because he wants too. He is a Labradoodle but I call him my Loverdoodle because he loves to cuddle. He is just a big curly baby. The only thing Baxter loves more than people are other dogs and animals. He likes to watch TV and his favorite channel is Animal Planet.
    He does have one big problem though, Baxter loves people so much that once someone comes into our home he doesn’t want them to leave. He will cry and bark and just ‘go crazy’. He wants everyone he meets to live with us!
    I know that Baxter would love the ‘lil’ Links even though he is a big boy (64 lbs). He loves chicken and apple!!!

  214. Anya is a 7 (or older) rescue dog. She looks like a cross between a German Shepard and a Doberman, except she is 35 lbs. She would love all of them. Trust me, she is not picky about treats, except to ask for another.

  215. My wife and I have 3 dogs. A chocolate chihuahua named Lolita, A party pomeranian named Boomer and a chihuahua rat terrier mix (a pound recue) named Mama Cita. I must admit I just had all of them try the Zuke’s Mini Naturals Duck flavor. They all love them. Usually the Pomeranian is very picky but he sucks them up like a vacuum cleaner!   224. Our dog Lucy (we call her Wooshy, because that is how my niece pronounced it at first) would really love some of the Hip Actions treats. She is a border collie/ german shepherd mix (we think) so she may be prone to some hip issues in the future, which means we try to postpone it now! I really love that Zukes has grain free varieties as that is what we like to give to Wooshy for the most part!
