The Super Bowl is such a big deal to a lot of people, especially if you happen to live in or near the city of the reining super bowl champs. And even more so if said champs are about to repeat their win {#go hawks!!}. So of course there will be parties and of course those parties will have food. A LOT of food. Trying to figure out what to serve your hungry guests might not be easy, but I suggest you serve a variety of appetizers!
I love serving appetizers at parties because it allows everyone to sample all sorts of foods and recipes without stuffing themselves silly. Okay, who am I kidding. I always stuff myself silly on appetizers. The ones below are no exception {and you might notice, many of them include bacon. Because, well, bacon}!
Here are a few of my favorite appetizers that are always crowd pleasers:
Cowboy Caviar – {Pin it for Later}
Sweet and Sour Mushrooms – {Pin for Later}
Bacon Wrapped New Potatoes – {Pin for Later}

Chex Party Mix – {Pin for Later}
Baked Mozzarella Sticks – {Pin for Later}
Smashed Potatoes with Bacon and Chives – {Pin for Later}

Good morning Mavis! Totally true story – had to share. My entire family are Steelers fans first and foremost. But we all appreciate good football and also cheer for the Seahawks (how can you not? They’re too much fun to watch!). My daughter works for a very strict dress code (read: Uptight) conservative company. She received an e-mail yesterday saying they were allowed to wear jeans……JEANS!……to work tomorrow and “share their New England Patriots pride.” Seems one of the company officers has a son who plays for the Patriots and another Patriot player is from the town where her branch is. When she inquired if she could wear her Seahawks jersey, she got a reaction similar to asking if she could wear booty shorts and a crop top to work. She was told, in no uncertain terms, that the company was supporting the Patriots. So…..after much thought and debate…..she’ll be wearing her boring conservative skirt and blazer tomorrow. She just couldn’t bring herself to be a turncoat – even if it meant being able to wear jeans to work…………..:)
